Could he be the Edward Beasley/Beazley of Franklin, MA, who married Charlotte Smith in 1809 at Bellingham?

On 20 April 1843 the Weekly Globe reported that Mr. Edward Bezely, who had been employed as a lamplighter in Providence for 17 years, was discharged from his job by the vindictive Whig authorities because he had voted for the Democratic ticket.
