They have three children in the household: Edith B. 14 MI, Clyde S. 12 MI, & Grace P. 6 MI. They are living near Chancey's parents, and near his brother Dolph and family. According to census data, Chancey & Jennie have been married 17 years; she has had 6 children, 3 of whom are still living.

    In the Federal Census of 1860, Jonathan M. & Camelia E. Remington, ages 25 OH and 22 Can, are living at Bloomingdale, Van Buren Co., MI. They have two children: Chancey F. 5 and Lowel C. 6 months. Jonathan is a farmer.

    In the Federal Census of 1870, the family is still at Bloomingdale: J. M. 36 OH, Kilk E. 34 Can, Chancey F. 14 MI, Lowell C. 9 MI, & Flora P. 4 MI. Jonathan is a house carpenter.

    In the Federal Census of 1880, the family is at Bangor, Van Buren Co., MI: J. M. 44? OH, Nellie A. 42 Can, Lowell 20 MI, Flora 13 MI, & Dolph M. 9 MI.

    In the Federal Census of 1900, they are at Colfax, Wexford Co., MI: Johnathan 64 OH (June 1835), Camilia E. 62 Can (Feb 1838). Jonathan & Camilia are living near sons Chancey and Dolph and their families.

    In 1910, Johnathan M. Remington, widower age 74, is living at Colfax with son Dolph and family.

    I have roughly estimated Charles's year of birth.

    I have made an assumption that Anna is his wife and Ezekiel his son, based on a gravestone at [findagrave.com].

    In the Federal Census of 1840, Charles is listed as a family head at Parma, OH, next to E. Remington and household. Charles's household consists of the following: 1 male <5, 2 males 5<10, 2 males 10<15, 2 males 15<20, 1 male 30<40, and 1 female 30<40. The household next door, of E. Remington, consists of the following: 1 male 60<70, and 2 females 60<70.

    The names of four of Charles's sons were given to me by Nanci Remington, a descendant.
