In the 1880 Federal Census, William & Ellen are living in Coweta, GA. They have an infant daughter, Mary. Also in the household are Ellen's brother, George T. Remington, age 13, and Joseph Leigh, age 17, a cousin. They are living next door to Benjamin & Mary Leigh, probably William's parents.

William married Ellen L. Remington Between 1878 and 1879, GA. Ellen (daughter of William Aborn Remington and F. J. Unknown) was born 27 May 1859, GA; died 4 Dec 1899; was buried , Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Orange Co., FL. [Group Sheet]
