Warren married Amie Mae Remington 24 Sep 1889, Providence, RI. Amie (daughter of Edwin Samuel Remington and Amie Franc Peck) was born 4 May 1867, Dighton, Bristol Co., MA; died 6 Jan 1944, Providence, Providence Co., RI; was buried , Lakeside Cemetery, Newman Ave., East Providence, RI. In the 1900 Federal Census, Amie M. Holden is living in Manhattan, New York with her husband and daughter. Also with them is Agnes Everett, age 27, born RI, a violinist.

Apparently there was a divorce because Warren Holden, doctor, is still in Manhattan in 1920, with a younger wife named Helen.

In 1930 Amie M. Holden, widow age 50, b MA parents b RI/MA, is living at 140 Pinehurst Ave., Manhattan, NY. I think this is the same person, and that she is really divorced, not widowed.

In the 1870 Federal Census, Edwin & Amie are living at Cranston, Providence Co., RI, with their two daughters, Amie & Inez. In 1880 they are in Providence.

He may be the Edwin Remington married and living in Johnston, RI, in the 1900 Federal Census. It is difficult to read the names.

The gravestone says he was born 15 November 1843.

Edwin married Amie Franc Peck 6 Feb 1865, Providence, RI. Amie was born 6 Jun 1846, MA; died 16 Jan 1923, Providence, RI; was buried , Lakeside Cemetery, Newman Ave., East Providence, RI. [Group Sheet]

In the 1920 Federal Census, Amie F. Remington is age 73, widowed, and living in Providence, RI, with her daughter Inez Ballou (divorced) and grandson Frederick, age 26.

Boyd Scott Remington's ancestry chart has different information for Samuel's family. He says that Samuel married Eliza H. Hutchins of Seekonk on 5 March 1840, in Hartford, CT. He lists two children: Edwin S. & Eliphalet. (no sources are noted for any of this)

It is possible that the February date in Seekonk was a marriage intention, and that the marriage took place in Hartford in March.

Samuel's gravestone says he died 29 Nov 1844, although I may have misread it.

Samuel married Ann Elizabeth Hutchins 16 Feb 1840, Seekonk, MA. Ann (daughter of Theophilus Hutchins and Jane Unknown) was born Abt 1820; died 8 Apr 1861, Providence, RI; was buried , Lakeside Cemetery, Newman Ave., East Providence, RI. [Group Sheet]
