In the 1920 Federal Census, John & Golda Remington are living at Horicon, Warren Co., NY. They have five children.

In 1930, John & Goldie are still at Horicon, NY. They are living with, or next to, their married son Rae W. Remington. Sherwood, Frances E., & Philip are also there, although listed on a different page of the census.

In the 1900 Federal Census, Worden & Frances Remington are living at Horicon, Warren Co., NY. They have two sons, John & Seymour. Acording to the census data, they have been married 19 years; Frances has had 5 children, two of whom are living. The census gives Worden's birth date as Oct 1854. A Remington genealogy from Valorie Sherman gives his dob as 18 Oct 1858; this seems more likely than Dec 1859.

In 1910, Worden Remington is age 53 and widowed, living at Horicon, NY, with his two sons.

In the 1920 Federal Census, Worden Remington is age 59 and widowed, living at Horicon, Warren Co., NY.

In 1930 Worden M. Remington is age 72, still at Horicon, NY. With him is his sister Jennie Thatcher, Jennie's husband William, and other family members.

Worden is still at Horicon in 1930 with the Thatcher family.

Worden married Frances Unknown Abt 1881. Frances was born Aug 1855, NY; died Aft 1 Jun 1900. [Group Sheet]

Ziba was brought up in Vermont, but as a teenager or young adult went to New York State for employment, finally settling in Horicon, Warren County, where he engaged in farming and lumbering businesses. (info source: "New England Families" Vol. I, Genealogies and Memorials, p. 381)

If these dates are all correct for this family, Ziba would have been born when his mother was 53. While this is possible, it must be acknowledged that Ziba may have been born several years earlier, or even that he may have had another mother -- possibly a single mother in the family.

In the 1860 Federal Census, Ziba & Mary Remington,ages 26 & 22, are living at Schroon, Essex Co., NY. They have a 1-year-old son, Worden.

In 1870, the family is at Horicon, Warren Co., NY. Ziba & Mary, ages 37 & 33, have four children: Worden, Sidney, Eddie, & Fred. Joshua Remington, his presumed father, is living with them at age 80.

In 1880, Ziba & Mary are still at Horicon and have five children: Worden, Edward, Frederick, Jennie, & Burdette.

In 1900, Ziba, aged 67, and his sister-in-law Eliza A. Remington, aged 71, both widowed, are living at Horicon, NY. They are next door to Ziba's son Burdett (Burr) and family.

In the 1910 Federal Census, Ziba Remington is age 76, still living at Horicon, NY. With him is his widowed sister-in-law, Eliza A. (Bentley) Remington, age 81, and nephew Jetta (Justus Jr.?) Remington, 49.

Ziba married Mary Ross 27 Aug 1857, Bolton, NY. Mary (daughter of Myron Ross and Nora Unknown) was born 27 Apr 1837, Bolton, NY; died 1 Jul 1899, Horicon, Warren Co., NY; was buried , Brant Lake Cemetery, Warren Co., NY. [Group Sheet]
