In the 1910 Federal Census, Frank is age 25, widowed, and living with brother Henry and family at Eastern Twp, Knox CO., NE. He has two young daughters.

By 1920 he has remarried to Louisa and has three more children. They are living at Hartington, Cedar Co., NE. His daughter Pearl, 14, is also with them.

In 1930 he has a third wife, Nellie, and is living at Precinct 9, Cedar Co., NE. They have seven children in the household: Richard 13, Charles 11, Loretta 10, Clarence 8, Mildred 5, Georgia 4 3/12, & Dorothy 2 4/12. I am not sure if any of these children are Nellie's, although from the census data they alI appear to belong to the previous wife.

Notes:

His name in unclear in the 1860 census -- it looks like Erwin. A family tree at Rootsweb has his name as Irving. However, an online gravestone transcription says Erving.

In the 1900 Federal Census, the family is living at Eastern, Knox Co., NE. The household consists of: Erving Remington 52, his wife Della 38, Henry 18, Frank 16, Delbert 13, Martin or Merton 12, Mary 10, Erving 8, Earl 5, & Wm. McKinley 4/12. This census gives the month and year of birth for all individuals. According to census data, Irving & Della have been married 20 years; Della has had 11 children, of whom 9 are still living. Eight are listed in the census. Where is the other living child?

His gravestone says he was born at Yorktown, PA.

Erving married Dellaphene Morgan Aft 1 Jun 1880. Dellaphene was born Apr 1862, IA; died 18 Feb 1926. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

In 1910 Della Remington, age 47 and widowed and living at St. Helena, Cedar Co., NE. Census data says she has had 12 children, 10 of whom are still living. In the household with her are: Delbert 23, Erve 17, Earl 16, William 10, & Theodore 7.

In 1920 Della is still in Cedar Co., NE. She is aged 57. Living with her are sons Ervin, Earl, William, & Theodore; also Ben Morgan, 27, brother.

In the 1850 Federal Census, Solomon appears to be the individual of that name living at Oswego, Oswego Co., NY. His age is given as 39, which is correct for him. The head of household is Isaac Remington, age 62; both are born VT. Also in the home are the following (not listed in this order): Mary 38, Huldah 27, Joseph 20, Wealthy 11, Truman 8, Irving 3, & Eveline 1.

In the 1860 Federal Census, Solomon Remington and family are living at Clay, Jones Co., IA. His second wife, Fanny, is age 30; four of his children and one of hers by her previous marriage are in the household.

In 1870 Solom Remington, 60, and his wife Fannie, 40, are living at Webster, Webster Co., IA.

In 1880 Solomon & Fannie A. are 69 & 49, still at Webster. Son Erving O., age 31, is with them.

Solomon married Mary Margaret Ostrander 4 Oct 1836. Mary (daughter of Henry G. Ostrander and Hannah Eliza Unknown) was born 2 Aug 1817, NY; died 29 Jul 1854. [Group Sheet]
