- His name is given as Simon Kettle in the marriage record of his son, Samuel S., at South Kingstown. However, there is a Simeon Kettelle who married a Susan (Unknown), and had a son Samuel S. b. 1817 at Exeter. Very possibly Simeon is actually this Simon, as the dates seem to fit the correct time frame.
To complicate this, there was also a Seneca & Susan Kettelle who had a son named Samuel born in 1816 at West Greenwich.
The RI Cemetery Database shows a Susan Kittle 1792-17 Dec 1874 buried in WG 103. This is the Seneca Kittle Lot on Burnt Sawmill Rd. I need to research these individuals.
It appears that Simon/Simeon & Susan Kettelle, and Seneca & Susan Kettelle, were two couples living at the same time in the same general area, and both had sons named Samuel born about a year apart. (needs more research)
