- According to a statement written by his great-grandson Benjamin LeValley, Peter was a Frenchman who landed at Marblehead, MA, in the early 1700s. "He remained at Marblehead for some time and acquired considerable property but afterwards traded some of it off for real estate in Warwick, RI, near what is now called River Point or Phoenixville." According to Benjamin, Peter had two sons, John & Michael, and also some daughters, names unknown. I have seen genealogies that assign a son Peter to him, also, as included on this family tree.
