• Notes

  In the 1840 Federal Census, Warren and his wife are probably living with his father at East Greenwich. There are an older couple and a younger couple in the household. Warren and his wife are living at East Greenwich, RI, in the 1850 Federal Census. They are together with his brother Dexter's family. Also in the household is William Greene (32 ?), probably Mehitable's brother. Mehitable and Ruth, Dexter's wife, may be sisters. In the 1860 Federal Census, Warren Remmington is age 65, a shoemaker, living at East Greenwich, RI. He is living next to Ruth Remington, age 58, his sister-in-law, along with Almyra Briggs, 48, who is living with Ruth. I have estimated his birth year based on his age in the census, and from his age at death. Warren's will, dated 3 Oct 1867 EG, mentions only William Taplin of East Greenwich and his wife Hannah L. Taplin. There is no indication of any any family relationship.
