In 1900 this family is in Providence, RI: John ? Remington 39 NY (Feb 1861), Martha 38 MA (June 1861), and Fred T. 18 NY (May 1882).
In the 1920 census, this couple is in Warwick, RI: John B. Remington 60 NY and Martha A. 58 MA.
In the 1925 RI state census, the family is in Providence as follows: Frederick T. Remington 42 NY, Cora N. F. 40 RI, John D. 64 NY, Martha A. 53 MA, and Clara A. Sholes 70 MA mother-in-law.
In 1930 John and Martha are still living in Providence with their son and his wife: Frederick Remington 46 NY, Cora 44 RI, John 72 NY, and Martha 68 MA; also Clara Sholes, mother-in-law 75 MA.
In Jan 1935, John B. and Martha A. Remington are living at 59 Warren, Providence, no occupation given for either. Son Frederick is a salesman for refined oil; Cora N. is a tool inspector at Brown & Sharpe.
In 1940 the family is still in Providence as follows: Fred T. Remington 56 NY, Cora N. 54 RI, and John B. 81 NY, father, widower.
I think his middle initial may have been for his mother's maiden name, although this is not confirmed.
