This house on Middle Rd., East Greenwich, is dated back to c1738 when the property was owned by Gideon Brayton, who received it from his father Thomas. Our ancestor Pasco Whitford bought the property in 1751, so he likely lived here. His grave is in the woods, across Carr's Pond Rd. in what is now the Big River recreational area. The house and property later passed to the Tarbox family.
