We are descendants of Pasco Whitford, the earliest known Whitford to come to America. He arrived sometime before or during 1680, first coming to the Newport/Portsmouth area, and later settling in East/West Greenwich. See the Family Tree for more information on our Whitford ancestors and their families.

See In Memoriam for gravestones of many early Whitfords.

My great-great-grandparents, Charles & Harty, married when she was 16 and he was almost 32. They had seven children – five girls and two boys: Hattie, Angeretta, Julia, Lena, Olive, Charles, & Jeremiah. All except Julia married and raised a family.
