    Notes:

    She is named as his daughter Priscilla Johnson in the will of David Nichols, dated 8 Sept 1815, proved 6 November 1815 in Coventry. Her gravestone, located in the cemetery across from Mapleroot Baptist Church in Coventry, RI, says she died at age 93, 8 months, and 27 days.

    Priscilla married Philip JOHNSON, Sr. Abt 1807. Philip (son of Ezekiel JOHNSON, Jr. and Ruth MATTESON) was born 1786; died 21 Oct 1823, Ohio. [Group Sheet]

    2. Alexander Johnson was born 27 Apr 1810; died 8 Mar 1900, Warwick, RI.

    4. Caleb Johnson was born 29 Jan 1818, West Greenwich, RI; died 13 Jun 1875, Mapleroot Cemetery, Harkney Hill Rd., Coventry, RI.
    5. Philip JOHNSON, Jr. was born 30 Mar 1822, Marion County, Ohio; died 30 Jun 1914, Coventry, Kent Co., RI; was buried , Maple Root Cemetery, Coventry, RI.

    David married Mary GREENE 1780. Mary was born 1762; died 1849. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    Mary Nichols was admitted as a member of Maple Root in 1816.

    One Greene genealogy has this Mary marrying three times: to Jonathan Joice, David Nichols, and Obed Harvey. However, Mary Greene is a very common name, and it may be that another Mary married one or two of those other men.

    The same genealogy says her parents were Elder Timothy Greene & Silence Rowlands, but I am not sure about that (needs more research to confirm).

    I have estimated the birth years of Jonathan's children.

    It is thought that this couple were the parents of the David Nichols who married Mary, and had seven children, including our Priscilla who married Philip Johnson.

    Jonathan & Prisilla were admitted as members of Maple Root Church in 1782. Also admitted to the membership in 1782 were Eunice, Jonathan (husband & wife), Prisilla, & Sarah Nichols. I am making an assumption that Prisilla & Sarah were daughters of Jonathan & Prisilla.

    Our ancestor Priscilla, who married Philip Johnson, was not born until 1785.
