    BSR says that first she married Rev. Thomas Tew, widower of her aunt. If so, he must have died with a year or two of the marriage.

    Death notice in the New York Post, 11 May 1854: "Bklyn Apr 27 Mary Ann w John Vars and dau of Henry R Remington"

    Mary Ann must have died in the aftermath of giving birth to twin girls.

    Notes:

    This was her second marriage.

    Theodosia was most likely named after her maternal grandmother, Theodosia Hopkins.

    "Theodocia Remington widow of Daniel Remington, dec" is mentioned in the will of Thomas Holden of Warwick dated 14 Oct 1820.

    Several years after Daniel died, she married Jonathan Nichols, widower of her sister Mary.
