Alfred Kent

Notes:

Alfred's marriage is noted in the book "Genealogies of the Different Families Bearing the Name of Kent in the United States . . . " by L. Vernon Briggs, p. 148. However, this section is prefaced with the author's comment: "Others by the name of Kent whom I have been unable to locate, but who are connected with the above families, are as follows."

In the 1880 Federal Census, both Hannah R. Kent and Russel D. Kent have noted that their father was born in Connecticut.

Alfred married Ruth Remington 7 Nov 1813, Barrington, RI. Ruth (daughter of Enoch Remington, II and Ruth Armington) was born 28 Dec 1793, RI; died Aft 1 Jun 1870. [Group Sheet]

1. Hannah Remington Kent was born 14 Nov 1816, MA; died 13 Dec 1892; was buried , Lakeside Cemetery, Newman Ave., East Providence, RI.
2. Russel D. Kent was born Abt 1819, RI; died 4 Nov 1896; was buried , Lakeside & Carpenter Cemetery, Newman Ave., East Providence, RI.
