  1. 1.  Samuel Aborn was born 1697; died 16 Mar 1761.

    Notes:

    It is believed that Samuel came to RI from Salem, MA. He may have been a son of Samuel Aborn and Susannah Trask, who were married in Dec 1663 in Salem, MA.

    The Pawtuxet site says Samuel Aborn came to Pawtuxet from Swansea, MA, around 1722.

    Another Samuel Aborn is said to have lived at Wickford.

    Samuel married Phebe Rhodes Abt 1723. Phebe (daughter of John Rhodes and Waite Waterman) was born 30 Nov 1698; died 25 May 1770. [Group Sheet]

    Samuel & Phebe had 8 or 9 children. (See "Descendants of Roger Williams" p. 22)

    Children:
    1. James Aborn was born 28 Sep 1734; died 31 Mar 1801.
    2. Anthony Aborn was born 20 Aug 1736, Providence, RI; died 14 Nov 1823, Pawtuxet, Warwick, RI.
