    Notes:

    Humility was the widow of Silas Greene, first cousin of James, when she married James as her second husband.

    Humility married Silas Greene 30 Sep 1743. Silas (son of John Greene, Jr. and Ann "Nancy" Hill) was born 29 Sep 1717; died Bef Oct 1753. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    Henry & Abigail are mentioned in the Exeter Town Council Records dated 2 Aug 1746, when they were paid for boarding Samuel & Abel Tanner out of the estate of Benjamin Tanner (see RI Genealogical Register, Vol. 5, No. 1, p. 78).

    He may be the same Henry Greene who married Margaret Rathbone in 1724 on Block Island (see elsewhere on this family tree). If so, Humility at least would have been her child. I am not sure about the others -- needs more research.

    Henry married Abigail Tripp Bef 2 Aug 1746. Abigail (daughter of Job Tripp, Sr. and Unknown Wife) was born Abt 1706. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    Some family trees have this Abigail Tripp as the wife of Benjamin Tanner. If so, she must have married him first (?).

    Notes:

    Job was "of North Kingstown." Job's first wife (name unknown) was the mother of some or all of his children. His will, written when he was "well stricken in years" (no date) mentions his wife Elizabeth and the following children: Job, Isaac, William, Benoni, Abiel, Mehitabel (Thomas), Ann (Moon), Mary (Dawley), Phebe (Rice), Abigail (Greene), & Deborah (Spink); also, grandson Isaac son of Isaac.

    Job Tripp was made a citizen of Newport in 1726. He was a deputy at the General Assembly from North Kingstown from 1734 to 1738.

    Job married Unknown Wife Abt 1700. Unknown was born Abt 1680. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    Elizabeth, widow of John Sweet, was probably Job's second wife. She is mentioned as "mother-in-law" (stepmother) in the will of Job, Jr.

    It has been speculated that Job's first wife was named Mehitable, as that is the name of the first daughter. Also, Job Tripp, Jr. named his first daughter Mehitable. However, Job Sr. did have a sister named Mehitable, so it is possible that this is why the name has been passed down in the family.

    Notes:

    Peleg's will mentions his wife Anne, and children Job, Peleg, Richard, Priscillla, Sarah (Rogers), Mary (Smith), Anne (Rogers), & Mehitable (Thurston), also daughter-in-law Sarah Tripp and kinsman William Sanford, overseer.

    Peleg married Anne Sissons Abt 1665. Anne was born Abt 1647, Dartmouth, MA; died 13 Jan 1712/13. [Group Sheet]
