    In 1910 the family is living at Clayton, Genesee Co., MI. Children in the household are: Elijah 17, Geneive A. 13, & Alen P. 2.

    In the 1920 Federal Census, Fred F. Remington is age 53, Minnie M. is age 47; with them is a son named Allen, age 12. They are living at Clayton, Genesee Co., MI. Fred's widowed father, Loomis A. Remington, age 83, is living with them.

    Frederick married Minnie M. Rock 9 Dec 1891, Genesee Co., MI. Minnie was born Abt 1872, MI; died Aft 1 Jan 1920. [Group Sheet]

    In the 1870 Federal Census, Loomis & Artemisia are living at Mundy, Genesee Co., MI. In the household are son Frederick, 3; Artemisia's parents -- James & Julia Hempstead, ages 61 & 55; and (probably) her sister, Irena, age 14.

    In the 1880 Federal Census, "Lumis & Artemissa" are living at Clayton, Genesee Co., MI, with their three children. They are nearby Loomis's parents, Levi & Asenath, and other Remington relatives.

    In 1920, Loomis A. Remington is widowed, age 83, and living with at Clayton, MI, with son Fred and his family.

    Notes:

    In the 1850 Federal Census, Levi is age 45, b. CT. He is living at Grand Blanc, Genesee Co., MI, with his wife "Sarah" and ten of their children. They are near John 40 & Julia A. Remington 36 and their three children. They are still there in 1860, when the family consists of: Levi, 54; Acinith, 45; Isaac, 18; Thomas, 17; William, 15; Peter, 13; Norman, 9; David, 2; Rachel, 24; & Lucy, 17; also widowed son Joseph, 26; and his two children, Cora, 4; & Levi, 2.

    In 1870 the family is at Clayton, Genesee, MI: Levi, 64; Asenath, 54; Rachel, 34; Norman, 14; Peter, 22; Julia, 19 (assume Peter's wife?). They are next door to Sabestin, Laura, and their son Justin.

    In the 1880 census, Levi is still at Clayton, Genesee Co., MI, age 74, b. CT, with wife "Asenith" age 64, b. NY. In the household is son Norman 24, his wife Emma 25, and their two children; also adult children Peter & Rachel.

    Don Appleby's genealogy web site adds a son Franklin to these children. However, I don't think Franklin belongs in this family group, because he is in the 1880 census as age 11, a nephew listed in the household of Joseph & Amanda.

    A Remington manuscript in the Special Collections at NE Hist Gen Soc includes a son Franklin.

    Levi died at age 81 y 7 m 4 d.

    Notes:

    In the 1850 Federal Census, Elihu is age 73, living at Grand Blanc, Genesee Co., MI, with his daughter Julia Walker, her husband Walter, and their six children, along with Sophia Goff 72, b. CT.

    According to notes from the Special Collections at NE Hist & Gen Soc, Elihu and family followed his brother Dan to Rush, Monroe Co., NY, in 1819. He was a founder of the Baptist Church there in 1830. In 1835 he went to Grand Blanc, MI, where he bought land in Section 2 that year.

    He died at age 75 y 3 m 10 d.
