  1. 1.  Robert "Bob" Remington (son of Robert Victor Remington and Lola Tinna).

    Notes:

    Bob Remington, Lola's nephew, was adopted by Robert V. Remington. He was in the Navy with my uncle Richard A. Remington, and more recently has been so kind as to help me with some of the family history of the Remingtons in Pennsylvania who were descendants of Benedict Remington and his son George Remington of Rhode Island.

    Notes:

    In the 1920 Federal Census, Philip A. Remington, age 30 md, is boarding at West Pittston, Luzerne Co., PA. He is a brakeman on the railroad. His wife and children are living in Tunkhannock with the in-laws.

    Notes:

    In the 1900 Federal Census, George & Ella are living at Washington, Wyoming Co., PA. George is a farmer, the three older boys are farm laborers, and the two youngest are "at school."

    In the 1920 Federal Census, George & Ella are ages 60 & 58, and are still living at Washington, Wyoming Co., PA. Their son George M. Remington, 28, is with them.

    Notes:

    Information on Ella's maiden name was obtained from the papers of Mary E. Rice of East Greenwich, RI, a researcher for many years. Her collection has been given into the care of the North Kingstown Library in Wickford, RI.
