In the 1900 Federal Census, Robert & Nina are living at Wyoming, Kent Co., MI. They have one daughter, Hazel, age 5.

In 1910 they are still at Wyoming Twp Pct, Kent Co., MI. There are two daughters in the household.

In 1930 Robert & Nina, ages 62 & 63, are at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.

Fred married Nina Conley Abt 1890. Nina was born Dec 1866, Canada or MI; died 28 Dec 1938; was buried , Oak Hill Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI. [Group Sheet]

1. Hazel Remington was born Apr 1895, MI; died Aft 15 Apr 1910.
2. Mildred Remington was born Abt 1903, MI; died Aft 15 Apr 1910.

Notes:

George was a Captain in the 3rd Michigan Infantry during the Civil War (see Remington ancestry chart).

In the 1860 Federal Census, George W. & Cecelia Remington are living at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. They have two young children. Also, George's mother, Esther Remington, age 60, is living with them.

In the 1870 Federal Census, George W. Remington is still living at Grand Rapids. However, he now has a second wife, Statira, and two more young children. His mother Esther is still with them, with her age given as 65.

by 1880 George has passed away but his family is still at Grand Rapids. (see notes for his second wife)

George married Statira Hurd Roberts 24 Aug 1865, MI. Statira was born 25 Feb 1842, MI; died 15 Aug 1909, Kent Co., MI. [Group Sheet]

In the 1880 Federal Census, Statira Remington is age 37 and keeps a boarding house in Grand Rapids, MI. Her four children are in the household, as well as nine other individuals.

She died of Parkinson's disease.

Notes:

At the time of his marriage in 1821, David was "of Buffalo."

BSR gives his date of death as 24 October 1834, in Rye, NY, but that date is an error. It happens to be the exact same date of death for a different David Remington who died in NY, and that other gravestone has been recorded and documented. (see elsewhere on this family tree)

The death notice for Rev. Remington establishes that he died in January: the "Christian Intelligencer of the Reformed Dutch Church" of 1 February 1834: "Died Suddenly on Friday night last, Rev. David Remington, aged 38 years, Pastor of the Church at Rye, Westchester County.

David married Esther Rutgers Low Jul 1821, NY. Esther (daughter of John Low and Esther Prentis) was born 1798, NY; died 23 Jan 1894, New York, NY; was buried , Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, NY. [Group Sheet]
