    In 1870 they are still at Smithfield. They have a son Cassius, 8, and a daughter Mary, 10.

    In 1880 the family is still at Smithfield. Ida is 20 and Cassius is 18.

    Notes:

    In the 1850 Federal Census, Lyman & Sarah B. Remington are ages 40 & 37 (or 39), living at Scituate, RI. Their five daughters are all at home.

    In 1860, Lyman & Sally B. Remington, ages 47 & 45, are still at Scituate, RI. Albert & Maria Wheeler, ages 20 & 16, are with them. Maria is their daughter. Next door is another married daughter, Angeline Smith, with her husband Albert and infant son Walter.

    In 1870 Lyman & Sarah B. Remington are ages 56 & 57, still living at Scituate.

    In 1880 Lyman & Sarah Remington, ages 70 & 68, are living at Cranston, RI.

    Lyman married Sarah "Sally" B. Unknown Bef 1830. Sarah was born Abt 1812, RI; died 26 Jan 1885; was buried , Glenford Cemetery, Angel Lane, Scituate, RI. [Group Sheet]

    We have not yet been able to figure out who Caleb's parents were. According to his children's data in the 1880 census, he was born in RI.

    This household apprears to be listed in the 1820 census at Smithfield, RI, with Caleb Remington as head of family; but no male of his age is included in the data. Here are the totals: 2 free white males under 10, 1 free white male 10-16 (Lyman?), 2 free white females under 10 (Martha & Mahala?), 2 free white females 16-26 (Zilpha & Ann Eliza?), and 1 free white female 26-45 (wife Martha). Where is Caleb, and who are the two young males?
