    Notes:

    In the Federal Census of 1900, Berkley R. & Alice Remington, ages 40 & 35, are living at Walton, Delaware Co., NY. They have one daughter, Vera L., age 10.

    Berkeley married Alice O'Donnell 8 Feb 1883. Alice was born Jun 1864; died 1928; was buried , Walton Town Cemetery, Delaware Co., NY. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    In 1860 & 1870, Wilson & Betsey are living at Franklin, Delaware Co., NY. They have two sons, Berkeley & Tracy. In 1860 they are living with Daniel Remington, Wilson's father. In both 1860 & 1870, Sally Rich, ages 60/74 b CT, is living with them. Also in 1870, Julia Remington 55 NY, is either with them or next door, along with two members of the Zabrisky family, Mary 30 & Lizzie 7. Julia appears to be the widow of Seba Remington; Seba is Wilson's first cousin -- if this family tree data is correct.

    In 1880 the family is still at Franklin, NY: Wilson 55, Betsy 47, Birkly R. 20, & Tracy E. 18. Also in the household is Sally Rich, 82, aunt.

    Wilson married Betsey Hine 8 Nov 1854. Betsey (daughter of Riley Hine) was born 7 Jul 1832, Meredith, Delaware Co., NY; died Aft 1 Jun 1900. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    In the 1900 Federal Census, Betsy Remington is a widow age 67, living at Franklin, Delaware Co., NY. With her is son Tracy, 36, also widowed, according to census data. Her birth date is given as Aug 1832.

  1. 8.  Daniel Remington was born Abt 1785, VT (son of Uriah Remington and Sally Camfield); died 5 Sep 1865, Franklin, Delaware Co., NY.

    Notes:

    In the 1850 Federal Census, Daniel & Nancy, ages 65 & 55, are living at Franklin, Delaware Co., NY. With them are four of their chidlren: Wilson 26, Maria 19, Ann E. 17, & Harriett 15.

    In 1860 Daniel is age 75, still living in Franklin and apparently widowed. With him is son Wilson, married to Betsey and with an infant son; also daughter Maria is in the household. In addition, Sally N. Rich, age 60 is listed last. Is she Daniel's wife listed with her maiden name, or is she a sister-in-law?

    The 1850 census has Daniel's birthplace as NY, but the 1860 says VT, which I think is correct.

    The following information was found on the Delaware County, NY, web site:

    At an annual meeting held in school District No 16 in Franklin, NY, on the evening of 6 of Oct 1834, among the officers elected for the ensuing year was Daniel Remington.

    In 1853/54 Daniel Remington paid $25 toward the construction of a Baptist church in East Franklin, NY.

    Daniel died at age 80 of inflammation of the lungs.

    Daniel married Nancy Rich Abt 1813. Nancy was born Abt 1795, NY; died Aft 1 Jun 1850. [Group Sheet]
