    Remington, Eliphalet (Oct. 27, 1793 - Aug. 12, 1861), manufacturer, the eldest son of Eliphalet Remington, a carpenter and mechanic, was born at Suffield, Conn. He was among the descendants of Thomas Remington, a resident of Windsor, Conn., as early as 1672. His mother is said to have been Elizabeth, n
