    Notes:

    In the Federal Census of 1900, Edwin and Lizzie Remignton, ages 38 MI and 41 OH, are living at Bloomingdale, Van Buren Co., MI. With them is adopted son Otto, age 2 (b Apr 1898). The family is living next to (or with) his parents and sister, and near brother Charles and family.

    In 1930 E. W. & Lizzie A. Remington are still at Bloomingdale, living with their daughter-in-law Grace and her four sons. Otto apparently has moved out because he is listed elsewhere as divorced.

    Edwin married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Thompson Abt 1894. Elizabeth was born Jun 1858, OH; died 1960; was buried , Spring Grove Cemetery, Bloomingdale Township, Van Buren County, MI. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    In the Federal Census of 1850, Edmund C. Remington, age 25, is living at Reading, Hillsdale Co., MI. The census says he is a carpenter born in MA, but if this is indeed Charles Edmund, that information is probably incorrect.

    In the Federal Census of 1900, Edmund and Ruth A. Remington, ages 75 & 61, are living at Bloomingdale Village, Van Buren Co., MI. With them is daughter Clare E. 35. They are next to Edwin and family.

    Charles married Ruth Ann Bishop Abt 1860. Ruth (daughter of Arch W. Bishop and Aurelia Meyer) was born Apr 1839, CT; died 29 Jun 1918; was buried , Robinson (Gobles) Cemetery, Bloomingdale, Van Buren Co., MI. [Group Sheet]

    I have roughly estimated Charles's year of birth.

    I have made an assumption that Anna is his wife and Ezekiel his son, based on a gravestone at [findagrave.com].

    In the Federal Census of 1840, Charles is listed as a family head at Parma, OH, next to E. Remington and household. Charles's household consists of the following: 1 male <5, 2 males 5<10, 2 males 10<15, 2 males 15<20, 1 male 30<40, and 1 female 30<40. The household next door, of E. Remington, consists of the following: 1 male 60<70, and 2 females 60<70.

    The names of four of Charles's sons were given to me by Nanci Remington, a descendant.
