    In the Federal Census of 1870, William F. & Phebe A. Miller, ages 32 & 26, are living at Coventry, RI. They have two children: Henrietta 2 and Mattie 1 month.

    In the 1880 Federal Census the family is at Coventry with William's mother, age 81, and two daughters by one of William's earlier marriages: Martha, age 10, and Grace B., age 6.

    William married Phebe A. Remington Abt 1866. Phebe (daughter of Jonathan R. Remington and Martha C. Babcock) was born Abt 1844, Cranston, RI; died 27 Nov 1879; was buried , Pine Grove Cemetery, Coventry, RI. [Group Sheet]

    In the Federal Census of 1860, Martha C. Remington age 43 (b RI; Bldg House Keeper) is living at Coventry, RI (Quidnick Post Office). With her is daughter Phebe A. Remington, 16 RI (Mill Op). Also in the household are Betsey Sweet 72 RI and Theresa Stoner 30 PA (Mill Op).

    Her mother's maiden name may have been Thompson (see RI Death Index).
