    In 1910 she is married to Myrtle D. King, and has been married for 6 yrs and has 4 children.

    Clara married Myrtle D. King Abt 1904. Myrtle was born Abt 1880, NY; died Aft 15 Apr 1910. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    In the Federal Census of 1860, his name looks like Sweet C. Remington.

    Other sources say Sennett.

    The 1855 MA Census has his name as Leverett.

    In the Federal Census of 1870, L. C. Remington 34 MA is living at Norwich, Chenango Co., MA. He is married to Amelia I. 29 NY. In the household are Theodore B. and Augusta Frost (?), ages 21 & 16, both b NY.

    In 1880 the family is living at Sherburne, Chenango Co., NY. They have a daughter Clara, 3.

    In 1900, they are at Frankfort, Herkimer Co., NY. With them is widowed daughter Carrie Carr, 23. Leverett is a carpenter.

    Leverett married Amelia J. Unknown Abt 1868. Amelia was born Apr 1842, NY; died Aft 1 Jun 1900, NY. [Group Sheet]

    In the Federal Census of 1910, Amelia J. Remington is a widow age 68, living at Columbus, Chenango Co., NY. She is with married daughter Clara King and family.

    Notes:

    I am making an assumption that this family, listed in the 1850 Federal Census at Becket, Berkshire Co., MA, belongs to this particular William, son of John & Sarah, because the age is right and he is living near them.

    In the 1855 MA Census, the family is still at Becket: William E. Remington 44 farmer MA, Rob[?] F. 39 NY, Leverett 19 MA, George F. 18 MA, Orlina 11 MA, Fanny C. 5 MA, and Franklin C. 1 MA.

    In the Federal Census of 1860, the family is living at Hillsdale, Columbia Co., NY. The household consists of: William 49, Roby 43, Swutt C. (?) 24, Orlina M. 16, Fanny C. 9, & Charles F. 6; all b MA.

    In the 1870 Federal Census, William E. Remington, age 58 b. MA, Roby F., 53 NY, with son Charles F., 16 NY, are living at Pharsalia, Chenango Co., New York.

    I don't know if the two younger children belong to the first wife or the second. (this family needs more research)

    William married Roba Fidelia Pease Abt 8 Sep 1833. Roba (daughter of Alvin H. Pease and Hannah Remington) was born 17 Sep 1816, NY; died 14 May 1898, Becket, Berkshire Co., MA. [Group Sheet]

    Roba's death record has her father's name as Calvin H. Pease, and her mother's name as Hannah Remington.

    Roba died of heart disease at age 81 y 7 m 27 d.

    In the 1830 Federal Census they are in Otis, Berkshire County, MA.
    In the 1840 and 1850 Federal Censuses, they are in Becket, Berkshire County, MA.
    In the 1855 MA Census, the family is still at Becket: John Remington 69 RI, farmer; Sarah 70 CT; Amasa A. 34 MA; John O. 27 MA; and June A. 19 NY.

    John married Sarah "Sally" Tuttle 20 Jan 1809, Granville, Hampden County, MA. Sarah (daughter of Stephen Tuttle and Rhoda Coe) was born 21 Oct 1785, East Haven, New Haven Co., CT; died Aft 1 Jun 1870, MA. [Group Sheet]

    Sarah's ancestry was found on Rootsweb's Worldconnect. I have made an assumption that it is correct, based on the strong evidence of the names of John & Sally's children, which reflect this ancestry. Also, the location agrees with her birthplace -- New Haven County, CT.
