In 1914, Manuel founded the town of Coronel Arnold in Santa Fe, Argentina. The town is sometimes called Arnold.

In the 1895 Argentine Census, Manuel B. Arnold age 23 was living with his family in Departamento Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.

"Son of Colonel Prudencio Arnold Brown - American origin - was the nephew of Admiral Guillermo Brown and was a prominent military man who acted against Rosas and then in the border defense against Indian raids. In the Argentine Census of 1895, the information states that Mercedes is age 55 and she has been married 30 years, and has had five sons.

From a descendant, Susana Aravena: "We know George was born in USA. He stated, in a church record, that he was native of Providence. George was in Argentina in 1804. I know he was Protestant. The record I obtained was from the Inquisition. He was forced or not, I do not know, to convert to Catholicism. The next year he had his first son, my grandmother's grandfather's brother. As well, we know that when my grandmother was around 10 years old a relative from the line Arnold-Brown visited my family in Argentina."
