In 1910, Harry & Mary are still at Brockton. They have two children, Lawrence 12 & Ruth 4.

In 1920, the family of four is still living at Brockton.

Henry married Susie Arabella Thurston 28 Nov 1889, Grafton, Worcester Co., MA. Susie (daughter of John Coe Thurston and Cordelia Walker) was born 9 Jan 1868, Montreal, Quebec, Canada; died 22 Feb 1948; was buried , North Burial Ground, Providence, RI. [Group Sheet]

Susie's marriage record says she was age 21 and a resident of Grafton, MA, and born in Montreal, Canada. However, the 1880 census has her birthplace as MA. It also has her name as Susanna. Susanna was a family name; perhaps she was named after her ancestor Susannah Wheeler.

In the 1871 Canadian Census, Susan is age 3, born in Quebec, Canada.

The marriage record identifies Henry's parents as Simeon C. & Alzada T., and gives his birthplace as Scituate, RI. Susie's parents are identified as John C. & Cordelia, and her birthplace is given as Montreal, Canada. Henry C., a clerk of Scituate, was age 25; Susie A., of Grafton, was 21. It was a first marriage for both.

In the Federal Census of 1870, Loring C. 34, Mary L. 28, and Harry A. 3 are living at Turner, Androscoggin Co., Me. Loring's mother Eunice, age 70, is with them.

In 1880 they are at Hartford, Oxford Co., ME. They have two sons, Harry A. & Newell P.

In 1900 they are still at Hartford, ME. They have two daughters in the household, Vera (Verna?) 16 and Ann (Amy?)13.

In 1910 Loring & Mary are still at Hartford; son Newell P., 37 Div, is with them; also daughter Emma V. 26 S.

Loring served in the Civil War.

In the Federal Census of 1920, Mary L. Records is a widow age 76, living at Turner, ME, with her daughter and son-in-law Emma & Charles Libby. Mary's son Newell, 47, is also with them.

In the 1880 census the family is at Shelter Island, Suffolk, New York. there are five children in the family. Also there is Thomas Donahue, borther-in-law.

I have made an assumption that this is the family of Mary W. Peden who is the mother of Lawrence Austin Records. The 1900 census says both her parents were born in Ireland, and this agrees. The middle initial of W also agrees.

In the 1871 Canadian Census, the Thurston family is at Montreal, Canada: John 38, Cordelia 35, Wheeler 11, Mabel 9, Sarah 7, Lisie 5, and Susan 3. The family is Presbyterian. John is a shoemaker. The three youngest children were born in Province of Quebec, and the others were born in the US.

In the Federal Census of 1880, the family is at Grafton, Worcester Co., MA: J. C. 47 farmer, Cordelia 44, Wilber 20, Mabel C. 18, Sarah 16, Elizabeth A. 14, Susanna A. 12, and Calvin S. 72 (father). Birthplace of all is given as MA.

In the Federal Census of 1910, the family is at Grafton, Worcester Co., MA: John C. Thurston, 77 MA md 51 y, Cordelia Thurston 74 MA; Sarah Arnold dtr 47 MA widow, Earl 19, Alfred 12, Randolph 10, Amy D. 8, & Lois 6; the last five being John & Cordelia's grandchildren, all born in RI.

John married Cordelia Walker 9 Mar 1859, Upton, Worcester Co., MA. Cordelia (daughter of Chester Williams Walker and Nancy Claflin) was born 24 Nov 1835, Upton, Worcester Co., MA; died 16 May 1916, Grafton, Worcester Co., MA; was buried , Riverside Cemetery, Grafton, MA. [Group Sheet]

Cordelia died May 16, 1916 and she was 80 years, 5 months and 23 days old at the time of her death. Cause of death was senility & myocarditis.
