Matthew & Bethiah had 10 children (see the book "Watson History and Genealogy"). Matthew died at age 107.

Matthew married Bethiah Reed 1733. Bethiah (daughter of John Reed and Bethiah Cobb) was born 28 Feb 1712/13; died 9 Feb 1778; was buried , Watson Cemetery, Middle Hwy., Barrington, RI. [Group Sheet]

1. Molly Watson was born 5 Mar 1734/35; died 10 Oct 1820, East Providence or Barrington, RI; was buried , Prince's Hill Burial Ground, County Rd., Barrington, RI.
2. Matthew Watson, III was born Abt 1742; died 15 Mar 1801.

Matthew married Sarah Howland Lawton Feb 1787. Sarah was born Abt 1710; died 3 Sep 1798; was buried , Watson Cemetery, Middle Hwy., Barrington, RI. [Group Sheet]

The following information is from "Watson History and Genealogy":
Matthew Watson and his family came to Boston, Massachusetts Bay, in 1718. He was a Presbyterian by belief, and of English parentage. His family had been living in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland, where he was a cloth dealer. After coming to America, Matthew turned to farming. He farmed in Framingham, MA, in 1719. Then he purchased land in Leicester, MA, in 1720, settled his family there, and began clearing the land and farming. However, during the first year there, while clearing land with his eldest son, a tree fell on Matthew, killing him instantly.

It is believed that Matthew & Mary had nine children. Of the six whose dates of birth and death are known, the average age was 84 years, and two lived to be over 100.

Matthew married Mary Orr 1695. Mary died Aft 1720. [Group Sheet]
