    Notes:

    Seth & Asenath left CT and went to Ashtabula County, Ohio, in 1812, and later to Springfield Township.

    Seth married Asenath Bisbee 8 Apr 1809. Asenath (daughter of Jotham Bisbee and Lucy Curtis) was born 10 Oct 1780. [Group Sheet]

    4. Jonathan Remington was born Abt 1820, PA; died Aft 1 Jun 1850.

  1. 2.  Amos (2) Remington was born 16 Jan 1746/47, Suffield, Hartford Co., CT (son of Jonathan Remington, II and Thankful Warner); died Abt 1846.

    Notes:

    There is an Amos Remington in the 1790 Federal Census at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT: 3 FWM<16, 1 FWM>16, 4 FWF. This implies that there were three sons and three daughters in the household.

    He may be the Amos Remington who married Julette Tower (both of Worthington, MA) on 23 Oct 1807 (in VRs of Cummington, MA).

    He may also be the Amos Remington (of Chesterfield, MA) who married Sally Pettingill (of Cummington, MA), int. filed at Cummington 11 Nov 1811.

    According to a family tree at Rootsweb, Julette was born c 1783, which would make her the age to be Amos's daughter. Perhaps Amos had a son named Amos, Jr. (?).

    Amos married Lucy Fowler Dec 1779. Lucy was born 1 Sep 1758, Westfield, Hampden Co., MA; died 2 Aug 1791, Southwick, MA. [Group Sheet]

    His date of birth is noted as "26 10m 1663." Since March was the first month of the year then, I interpret this to mean December. Some online genealogies have his birth date as 6 Oct 1663, but this is probably incorrect.
