    Notes:

    William Dyer came to America from London in 1633, united with the Boston Church, and was made freeman 3 Mar 1636. In 1638 he was disowned and disfranchised as a followed of Anne Hutchinson & Wheelwright, driven out of Massachusetts, and so he fled to Rhode Island where he became Secretary of the colony. His wife Mary was the famous friend & disciple of Anne Hutchinson. Mary Dyer herself was banished from Massachusetts and later suffered martyrdom by hanging on Boston Common 1 June 1660.
