    The book "Coventry Historical Cemeteries" gives Jeremiah's date of birth as 4 March 1774. However, Donald W. Witter's genealogy of Thomas Hopkins of Providence has Jeremiah's date of birth as 17 August 1775. (need to investigate this discrepancy)

    Jeremiah's will mentions two sons, Samuel R. & Ambrose S., and two daughters, Sarah Lewis & Nancy Bates.

    I am making an assumption that the Philip Sweet, Jr., who married Lydia Rice is the son of Philip Sweet who is mentioned as father in the will of Pentecost Sweet. In that will, Pentecost also mentions that his brohter Philip has two sons, Pentecost & John.
