Benedict married Mary Peirce 25 Dec 1793, East Greenwich, RI. Mary (daughter of William Peirce) was born Abt 1772. [Group Sheet]

1. Elizabeth "Betsey" Greene Arnold was born 16 Aug 1795; died 17 Sep 1860.
2. Isaac Arnold was born 24 Mar 1797; died 27 Apr 1867.
3. William P. Arnold was born 1807, East Greenwich, RI; died 14 Apr 1874.

Notes:

According to the book "Descendants of Roger Williams" Book III, Sayles Line, p. 305 - 306, this Thomas Arnold married Frances Haynes. However, the date of death in the book does not agree with the RI Cemetery Database, which gives his date of death as 1821; and his wife is Sarah, not Frances.

The only other possibility is that he married Frances first, and that she died in childbirth, in which case the estimated date of birth for their daughter, Anne, must be two or three years off.

Thomas married Sarah Pierce 14 Apr 1768, East Greenwich, RI. Sarah (daughter of Preserved Pierce and Alice Spencer) was born Abt 1744; died 2 Dec 1808; was buried , East Greenwich Cemetery, First Ave., East Greenwich, RI. [Group Sheet]

Thomas & Sarah were married by Justice Thomas Rice.

The RI Cemetery database estimates his birth year as 1708, but his parents weren't married at that time. Perhaps the age on the gravestone is incorrect or was misread.

William's will mentions his father, Elisha, wife Phebe, and children: Job, William, Thomas, Ann (w/o Capt. John Ladd), Phebe (w/o Samuel Hopkins), & Mercy; also his aunt Catherine Brown. I think she must have been Catherine (Greene) Brown, wife of James and sister of Anne Greene, who was mother of William's wife Phebe.

William & Phebe are buried in the Arnold Lot, formerly the Old Baptist Church Cemetery, on the south side of Cowesett Rd., directly east of the Elms Apts., about 40 ft. up on the hill.

William married Phebe Stafford 6 May 1733, Warwick, RI. Phebe (daughter of Thomas STAFFORD and Anne GREENE) was born Between 1709 and 1710; died 28 May 1799; was buried , Historical Cemetery 35, West Warwick, RI. [Group Sheet]

Phebe Arnold and her five children are mentioned in the 1744 will of her grandfather, Job Greene.

The will of Preserved Pearce mentions his (probably second) wife Sarah, daughters Hannah Pearce & Mary Dexter, and son-in-law Thomas Arnold of East Greenwich; also, nine grandchildren.
