    Notes:

    Lydia was the widow of Thomas Shearman when she married Thomas Potter, who was himself widowed.

    Lydia married Thomas Shearman 26 Jun 1702. Thomas (son of Peleg Shearman and Elizabeth Lawton) was born 8 Aug 1658, Portsmouth, RI; died Bef 8 Dec 1720. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    Some genealogies have as many as 11 children for this couple -- needs more research.

    Daniel's first wife, name unknown, died before 1 August 1661, when her gravesite was referred to in a land document.

    Daniel married Elizabeth Cooke Aft 1659. Elizabeth (daughter of John COOKE and Sarah WARREN) was born Bef 1644; died Dec 1715, Tiverton, RI. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    According to researcher Alden G. Beaman, the only one of Edward's children whose existance is proven is Daniel. He also mentions a theory that Edward was possibly a son of John Wilcox, b.1580, of Bury St. Edmonds, Suffolk, England.

    However, a more recent article clarifies some family data on Edward. See "Edward Wilcox of Lincolnshire and Rhode Island" by Jane Fletcher Fiske, New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 147, April 1993, pp. 191 ff.

    His name was on a list of inhabitants admitted to Aquidneck Island in 1638.

    Notes exceprted from "Mayflower Descendants Through Five Generations" Vol. 12, p. 4 & 5:

    Francis Cooke and his son John (Jean, en francais) embarked on the Speedwell at Delfshaven, Holland, in July 1620. At Southampton or Plymouth, England, they transferred to the Mayflower and set sail Wednesday, 6 Sep 1620 (or, 16th Sep, new calendar). Francis was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact on 11 Nov 1620 (21st Nov, new calendar). In late 1623 Francis Cooke received two acres with his son John, and four acres for the rest of the family, who came on the ship Anne in Aug 1623.

    Francis married Hester MAHIEU Abt Jul 1603, Walloon Reformed Church, Leyden, Holland. Hester (daughter of Jacques MAHIEU and Jeanne UNKNOWN) was born Between 1582 and 1588, Canterbury, England; died Between 8 Jun 1666 and 18 Dec 1675, Plymouth, MA. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    Richard is said to be of London. He came as a Pilgrim on the first Mayflower voyage to Plymouth in 1620, and is one of the forty-one signers of the Mayflower Compact. He is one of ten who were distinguished with the title Mister. Richard was one of the nineteen signers who survived the first winter. His wife and five daughters followed in 1623. Elizabeth Warren was called Mistress, a title reserved for noteworthy women.

    On 22 May 1627, the Division of Cattle names the Warren family: Richard, wife Elizabeth, Nathaniell, Joseph, Mary, Anna, Sara, Elizabeth, & Abigail.

    One genealogy, the Gray-Ide Bible Records (Family Tree Maker CD 180), gives Richard's wife as Esther Juatt. However, the Mayflower Society has found other information confirming Elizabeth Walker as his wife (see notes for Elizabeth).

    Notes:

    Elizabeth and her five daughters came to Plymouth on the "Anne" in 1623.

    Elizabeth Warren died at over 90 years of age.
