    In the 1880 Federal Census, Charles & Caroline are living at Warwick, Kent Co., RI. In the home are the following children: Ellen, 29 b. Guernsey; Frederick H., 26 b. NY; Wallace H., 25, b. NY; Thomas T., 22 b. NY; Eva G., 18 b. RI; and Robert, 15 b. RI.

    According to descendant Adeline (Freelove) King, both Charles and his son Charles served in the Civil War.
