    From the obit: Ray lived all his life in Osage County. He worked as a farmer and a carpenter, and served on the Overbrook Water Board. Ray was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church, where he served as a Trustee. He leaves four children, seven siblings, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

    Raymond married Beulah Faye Montgomery 9 Jun 1945, Topeka, KS. Beulah was born 11 May 1921; died 6 Mar 2005; was buried , Carbondale Cemetery, Osage Co., KS. [Group Sheet]

    In 1930 the family is at Ridgeway, Osage Co., KS. They now have eight children.

    Notes:

    I have made an assumption that Andrew was born in Whiteside Co., IL, because that is where his parents were living in the 1850 census.

    In the Federal Census of 1860, Andrew J. Remington, age 10 IL, is living with his uncle N.C. & Mary Remington, and six cousins, in North East Township, Erie Co., PA.

    In the Federal Census of 1880, Andrew & Ida Remington, ages 30 & 23, are living at Springfield, Erie Co., PA.

    In the Federal Census of 1900, Andrew & Ida E. Remington are living at Fairfax, Osage Co., KS. They have two children: Noble C. 14, & Nettie R. 3.

    In 1910 the family is still at Fairfax.

    According to the census data, they were married about 1876/77, and have had 4 children, two of whom are still living.

    Andrew married Ida E. Unknown Abt 1877. Ida was born 1856, IL; died 1935, KS; was buried , Carbondale Cemetery, Osage Co., KS. [Group Sheet]

    In the Federal Census of 1920, Ida Remington is a widow, age 62, still residing at Fairfax, KS. With her is daughter Nettie, age 22.

    The two of them are still there in the 1930 census, ages 73 & 32.
