    Notes:

    According to her son Eli, Elizabeth lived to be at least age 94 (when he wrote his book "Genealogy of a Part of the Wodell Family" p 67 -- Google Books).

    The death record at New Bedford names her as Elizabeth Wordell "Soule" and says she died of "old age" at age 94 y 9 mo.; her parents are identified as Nathaniel & Rebecca.

    In the Federal Census of 1870, "Elisabeth Wordell" is age 83, living and "keeping house" in Fall River, MA. She is with her son Eli, age 65, a farmer.

    Elizabeth married Benjamin Wodell 3 Feb 1805. Benjamin (son of Phineas Wodell and Rhoda Rider) was born Jun 1783. [Group Sheet]

  1. 2.  Nathaniel SOULE was born Abt 1753, Tiverton, RI (son of William SOULE and Keziah GIFFORD); died 7 Jan 1837, Providence, Saratoga Co., NY.

    Notes:

    "Nathaniel Sowl was a sailor engaged in whaling, and at the time of the Revolution his vessel narrowly escaped capture by a British man-of-war. He abandoned the sea, and with his family removed to Providence [in Saratoga County, New York] in 1787, coming from Dartmouth, Massachusetts. For several years he lived on rented lands; but finally, in 1806, he bought a small farm a mile north of Barkersville, and lived there till his death, which occurred January 7, 1837. David Sowl, of Hagedorn's Mills, and Rebecca Allen, of Amsterdam, are the only ones of his family of eight children that are now living. David Sowl has four children living in town, one daughter in Kansas, and another in Washington. One of his sons, Joseph B. Sowl, in partnership with Mosher Chase, runs the saw-mill at Hagedorn's Mills, and deals quite extensively in lumber."     Nathaniel died at age 84 in Saratoga County, NY.
