    Pedigreene Tripp, son of son Pedigreene, is mentioned as a grandson in the 18 Dec 1779 will of Job Tripp of Exeter, RI. He would have been age 10 at the time.

    Pedigreen married Isabell Sprague Abt 1790. Isabell was born 1768; died 26 Sep 1812; was buried , Pedigreen Tripp Lot, Exeter, RI. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

    His name may have been Peregrine. It is Pedigreene in his father's will.

    The name is passed down in the family and is spelled variously as Peregrine, Peregreene, Perigreen, Pedegreen, Pedigreen(e), Peddegreene, Perrygreen, and Petegren.

    From the Exeter Town Council records: "Pedigreen Tripp of Exeter yeoman and Susannah Tripp wife of said [PT] . . . land to my father Job Tripp . . . land my grandfather Job Tripp gave to my father in his will . . . my brother Peleg . . . " dated 25 Feb 1758

    Also in the Exeter town records, Peddegreene Tripp and wife Martha signed deeds on 14 April 1780 and again in 1785. This may be a second marriage for Pedigreene, although dates on the gravestones suggest Susannah died in 1778 (S. Tripp, see family burial lot findagrave.com).

    There is a marriage record at Richmond for a Pedigreen Fry Tripp:
    TRIPP Peregrine Fry, of Exeter, and Martha Boss, of Jeremiah, of Richmond; m. at Richmond by John Webster, Justice, Sept. 14, 1760; Town Page Detail: Marriage (Vol. 1 : Pg. 43), Richmond, RI.

    Is Peregrine Fry Tripp the same individual who married Susannah Sherman? This needs more research.


    If Susannah died before 1760, this Pedigreene may have married Martha Boss in 1760 which case the youngest son would be hers.

    I am not sure if this date of death belongs to Susannah. Findagrave.com has a date of death as 1778 for S. Tripp.

    If Susannah died before 1760, Pedigreene may have married Martha Boss in 1760 which case the youngest son would be hers.

    Notes:

    Job was "of Exeter." His will mentions stepmother Elizabeth, so it is not known who his mother is.

    "Doc Job Tripp" is mentioned in the Exeter Town Records of 19 June 1759.

    The will of Job Tripp of Exeter, yeoman, is dtd 18 Dec 1779, prvd 6 May 1782. Besides his "mother-in-law" (stepmother) Elizabeth, he mentions 5 sons: Peleg, Charles, Pedigreene, Benjamin, and Ezekiel; and 5 dtrs: Mehitable Green, Sarah Weight, Anna Mosher, Mary Weeden, and Phebe Boss; also two grandsons, Job Tripp; and Pedigreene Tripp s/o son Pedigreene.

    Job married Sarah Weeden Abt 1722. Sarah was born 20 May 1704. [Group Sheet]
