    • According to descendant Russell Shaw, for a while this family lived on Chapin St. in Providence. Arthur & Mary died of the flu in 1918.

      In the 1910 Federal Census, Arthur L. & Adelaide M. Shaw, ages 27 & 22, are boarding at 131 Willard Ave., Ward 5, Providence, RI. With them is son Benjamin F., age 3. According to the census data, Arthur's parents were both born in Canada; also, Arthur & Adelaide have been married for 3 years; and, Adelaide has had three children, one of whom is still living. It appears from RI death records that she had two children born after this time who also died.
