      Roderick's death record identifies his mother as Sarah Rounds; no father is mentioned. The 1800 census has an Alfred Rounds in Tiverton, with 3 free white males under age 10. However, there is no Roderick among the birth records for Alfred's family.

      Could he be the son of Sarah Rounds, born 16 Feb 1765, Tiverton, to David Rounds Jr. and Hannah? Just speculation.
