Job's will dated 25 Feb 1746, proved 2 July 1753, mentions his eldest son Robert, youngest son Job, his "well-beloved wife " Mehitabell, and nephews Caleb -- son of brother Robert, and Caleb -- son of brother Caleb (these are our ancestors). Among other provisions, Job gives freedom to his "Negro man, Jack," along with three whole suits of apparel. All his Negro servants are to be set free after the decease of his wife, son Job, and his descendants. He also provided for relief of the poor of the church in Newport to which he belonged. The executors were Joseph Sanford, shopkeeper; Elisha Shearman, mariner; and Gardner Thurston, cooper.
