    Notes
    • In the Jamestown marriage record, the year is no longer legible -- possibly 1690? It identifies Edward as "of Newport" and Hannah as "of James Towne." They were married "at Newport by W. C. Governour" (which is penned with a flourish).

  • Notes
    • Edward Carr's will of 22 Dec 1711 mentions his daughter, Hannah Slocum. I am making an educated guess that her husband was Samuel, who had a wife named Hannah. They were both from Jamestown, in the right time frame. Other online genealogies agree with this conclusion.
