According to a letter written 4 Nov 1838 by her uncle Benjamin E. Remington, "Phoebe" had been married five years and had had six children, including two sets of twins, all four of whom had died. As of that date, two of her children were still living. "She has a kind and industrious husband." (source: "Lydia's Letters, 10 More" compiled by Margie Brown and Virginia Remington Rich)
