  William's will mentions his wife and children. The sons are referred to as being all under 21, and the daughters all under 18. The birth dates are recorded in James N. Arnold's Vital Record of Rhode Island, Vol. 1, p. 206 (Narragansett Historical Publishing Co., Providence, 1891) He also mentions his illegitimate son by Desire Bennett, George Tibbits, whom he has raised since about a year old.
