- Silas was buried on the 11th. Elder John Gorton preached at his funeral, on Amos 4:12. He was "Captain Silas Cooke, late of Warwick."
Silas was sometimes referred to as Silas, Jr. Does that simply mean he was a younger one of two in the area? It his father was Peleg, perhaps he had an uncle named Silas?
