• Notes

  Franklin and Maria Remington were both baptized on 12 July 1874 at the Baptist Church of East Greenwich, RI. I am making an assumption that they were husband and wife. They also died approximately a year apart. In the 1870 Federal Census, Franklyn Remington is age 51, living at East Greenwich, RI. With him is Mariah, 39, and Sarah P., 13. In the 1880 Federal Census, Franklin & Maria are living in Warwick, RI, with Sarah P. & Lydia A., ages 23 and 1. From the Warwick birth records, it appears that the infant was the illegitimate child of Sarah, their daughter. Lydia's father was William W. Allen, born in East Greenwich.
