  Mary is said to be a 9th-generation direct descendant of John Coit, who came from Wales to America between 1630 and 1638, and appears among settlers of Salem, MA, in 1638. The RI Cemetery Database gives her year of death as 1906; a transcription of the stone in "Genealogies of RI Families" says 1905.
