- I am making the assumption that the Thomas and Mary whose marriage is recorded in Scituate, belongs to this family group, since this Thomas had a brother Lippitt, whose marriage was also recorded in the same book. The notation implies that they were married in Providence, but that the marriage was recorded in Scituate several years later. The Scituate record says 20 Nov.

He may have been the Thomas Remington who later moved to Portsmouth (needs more research); see this note from Barbara Chase: "Scituate, RI Probate Records; Vol. 1; p. 409 - 28 Jul 1759 - Certificate to Thomas Remington who has 'moved with his family to Portsmouth' and acknowledged that he, his wife, and children were proper inhabitants of the town of Scituate."
