    • In the 1850 Federal Census, Alpha & Julia Remington, ages 26 & 28, are living at Albany, Albany Co., NY. With them is son Charles, 2, and Mary Remington, 54 (probably Alpha's mother, although I am not sure of her age).

      In 1860 Julia A. Remington, age 37, is living at Providence, RI. With her is daughter Mary A. Remington, age 6, b. NY. Alpha (aka Alfred) age 36 RI is also in Providence living separately with their three sons -- Charles E. 12 NY, Thomas P. 9 NY, and Alpha J. Jr. 5 NY; also with them is Maria Armington 40 NY seamstress.
