    • The marriage record has her parents' names as Wilet (?) & Sarah Slocum, but her name is given as Cornelia M. Woodman; there is a notation under her name, "by adoption." The marriage notice in the New Bedford Mercury says "adopted dtr late Brownell Woodman." So, possibly she was adopted by the Slocums.

      Her death record gives her parents' names as Brownell Woodman and Alice Slocum (b Tiverton).
